All internship placements are based on clearly identified needs driven by the objectives of Nails and Steel Products Limited Business Plan.
Nails and Steel Products Limited coordinates internships as supervised programs of work and study based on clearly-defined terms that are mutually beneficial to the intern and to Nails and Steel Products Limited.
– One must apply and be selected in order to join Nails and Steel Products Limited internship programme.
Scope of the Internship Programme
Internships are open to diploma, degree, post-graduate and doctoral students who wish to acquire knowledge and experience of a real work environment to the mutual benefit of both the organisation and the Intern. Interns are fully involved in the work programme of the unit relevant to their studies under the supervision of a responsible staff member.
Interns are expected to contribute their skills, knowledge and competencies while acquiring supplemental training in their areas of specialization but are not full-time employees. They are not substitutes for full-time staff.
Nails and Steel Products Limited Intern Payments
Nails and Steel Products Limited does not pay interns during their internship.
Nails and Steel Products Limited Internship Period
Nails and Steel Products Limited offers 1 to 3 months attachment period at one given time. This way we get to offer more students industrial training.
This is greatly discouraged and interns are required to clear with their supervisors in the last week of their attachment period. The supervisors are required to write to Human Resource Department the duties and the responsibilities that the interns had so as to make the recommendation for them before they leave.
Extensions can only be allowed where an intern is yet to be assessed by his/her college supervisor/lecturer. To allow this, Manager Training has to get official communication from the Learning Institution. Interns are encouraged to communicate and make arrangements with their college lecturers to assess them in good time before the expiry of their attachment period to avoid inconveniences if it would not be possible to get the extension.
It should be noted that receipt of attachment application does not guarantee placement in the organization. It all depends on the availability of vacancy. This is mainly due to the large number of applications we receive each week.
All applications should be made out to:
